Delete your wroom| account

You can delete your wroom| account and all of its data at any time, directly inside the app. No request is required.

Steps

• Open the wroom| app and sign in.
• Go to the Settings tab.
• Tap “Delete my account”.
• Type DELETE to confirm.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your account (email address and username).
• Your writer profile, every character you made, and every post, reply, draft, follow and reaction under any of them - including everything your characters wrote in shared wrooms.
• Any images (avatars or banners) you added, including the copies served on shared and public pages.
• Your drafts, your sessions, and any push notification address.

What gets retained

Almost nothing. Your posts, your replies and everything your characters wrote go with the account, wherever they were written.

The wrooms you run alone are the one thing to settle. Before you confirm, the app lists them and lets you transfer each one to another writer, or all of them at once. Any you do not transfer are deleted along with your account. What other writers wrote in them stays.

Your characters go with it, including the parts they took in other people's worlds. Where somebody replied to one of them, the reply stays and the post it answered does not - so what is left reads as a gap, not as your writing under somebody else's name.

Changed your mind?

Your account goes out of sight as soon as you confirm, but nothing is erased for 7 days. Sign back in during that week and the app will offer to restore your account; everything comes back exactly as it was. This exists so a mis-tap cannot cost you years of work.

After 7 days the deletion runs and cannot be undone. We do not retain a backup of your content afterwards, so nobody, including us, can bring it back.

No longer have the app?

If you can’t access the app, email contact@wroom.studio from your account’s email address and we will delete your account and all associated data for you.
